getting it off my chest.

Windy Poplars

its another day of confession. and what do i want to confess today? hmmm.. ok got one.

i am a midnight junk food junkie.

chips, dip, cookies, pie, cake, candy bars, spray cheese and crackers. you name it i will consume it. i prefer not to keep these things in the house because come time for kais midnight feeding, i wanna munch too. i have woken up with chocolate chips on my face, and the bed covered in crumbs, with no recollection of how they got there. i have come out of my comatose state with chocolate milk on my breath. i have found a puddling ice cream trail from the freezer to the bed. i can probably contribute most of my pregnancy(and any other time) weight gain to my midnight snacking excursions. there are sometimes that i know perfectly what i am doing and either just dont care or just cant deny these late night cravings. maybe just maybe a lock on the fridge door is what i need. or one of those piggy alarms that oink at you whenever the fridge door is open. hmm but what to do about the pantry?

what do you confess? come on i know its something juicy. swing on over to Windy Poplars and get your button, then get to conffesin!

Its Confession Time

pick up a button and join the masses!

Windy Poplars

so i must confess!

i want lots of kids, but dislike pregnancy. alot. if i could have ten kids and forgo the whole, gaining weight, morning sickness, cankles, and weird hair growths i would. does this make me selfish? no i dont think so. does it make me a wuss? definitely. i like to be active, excersing, walking, dancing, jigging and anything else that will get the heart rate going, it just seems though once i find out im prgenant all that stops. my umpf flies right out the window. i give into my cravings for cheeseburgers and deep fried oreos, i have no self control. im also a very angry pregnant person. as hard as i tried i just couldnt like people. i stayed in my cave and barely left. my days consisted of whining rants at my husband, hours upon hours of cops marathons, and eating everything in sight. oh yeah and lots of throwing up. plus its scary. you never know exactly whats going on in there and not knowing will feed any fear to an outrageous size! then you have the usual thoughts. will i be a good parent? how hard is it gonna be with two? will rowen feel left out? what am i going to name it? if i could just skip all that and get to the good parts, you know, like the first snuggles, watching your hubby turn green while changing the first poopy diaper. those are the things that make it worthwhile. then later comes the mamas.. the dadas... first bites... first steps... first kisses and hugs.........

and see this is what gets me in trouble. i start thinking like that and i forget all the hard times. i remember the flutters and first sonograms and am so willing to do it again. maybe third time will be the charm. maybe we will be able to welcome a little girl into the world. :)

here are the humans i have made.

Hello Darlin.

its been a loong tii-iime, youre just as lovely as you used to be.

anywho. so it has been awhile, but i havent been mia without a good excuse. i have been moving. and it sucks something special. my house looks like it puked cardboard boxes. and with the onset of these lovely flu like symptoms that my precious chillens decided to share with me, doesnt look like it will be getting finished today either. i can still type though. : )

row is loving his new, bigger room. so much in fact he has been sleeping in his own bed all night! thinking maybe kai would follow suit, i started putting him into his own bed too, and its amazing how big a king size bed actually is! kai sleeps until(i think it helps that the rest of us arent disturbing him) about 4am, when hes ready for a bottle and then back down he goes. without the two kicking/thrashing/swimming/talking/snoring sweethearts in between us we have gotten our snuggle time back, and we wake up rested and not needing nearly as much coffee..

not nearly as long as i wanted it to be but my head is a poundin. and the tip tap tapping of the keys is getting on my nerves. i will post a couple of pics, for your viewing pleasure though.

well that was random.

- Name something you think is ok to wear even though Lucky says it's out of style.

lucky? im not even sure who this is, so what they think doesnt really have much of an impact but anywho. overalls. love me some overalls. i still have a pair from high school, that i LOVE. they are almost 10 years old, so they are worn-out in all the right spots. ive had to redo their clasps like twice. idont wear them out to often but they are perfect for lazy, or fat days. :)

-Name something a random stranger can do to ruin your day.

i try not to let other folks ruin my day but when a stranger allows their pups to poo in my general walking area that gets on my nerves... and my shoes.

-Name one food that makes you vomit in your mouth at just the thought of it.

fried okra.

-What is one 'roll-up-the-windows-so-nobody-hears-me-listening-to-this-song' song of yours?

oo-ee-oo-ah-ah, ting tang walla walla bing bang. i jam it and i jam it loud whenever it plays on rowens burned disc. the windows are always up but im sure other can hear. day-o is another one of these(comes on right after oo-ee on rows disc) i sing and dance to this one with the movements from beetlejuice.

-Name a very embarrassing thing you got caught doing.

turning my nose ring. the actual act of turning isnt embarassing but it looks very similar to picking/digging/brain scratching. and im sure to strangers it looks disgusting but if the corkscrew gets turned funny in my nose it will cause a rather dramatic sneezing fit.

-Guess what, I'm coming to visit, where would you take me first in your town?

gotta go with Jessica on this one, we are headed to the beach!

-Name a charity/organization you proudly support?

breast cancer awareness.

-What's one thing you're looking forward to this week?

just every day in general. its never a boring day around here. although my oldest is gone for a week, so i am looking forward to his return!

-First concert you ever saw?

Skillet at Church Camp.

-What was your childhood stuffed animal's name?

Tina was a baby doll i carried around forever! the stuffing in her neck was compeletely worn out, so she was completely flop-headed.

Im a rebel.

Worlds Greatest Dad.

there are billions of men in the world. millions of these billions are dads. every little girl thinks hers is the best. i know mine is.
my dad can do anything. hes a fishing genius, building his own tackle. could build a house, with working plumbing and electricity from the ground up. he could make any booboo go away with a kiss and few soft words(or a wad of chewing tobacco.. ever heard of cow ants?). loves me for me and believes in me, no matter how many times i screw up. he taught me to ride a bike and handed me my first camera. we butted heads like no tomorrow, but mostly because we are just alike; strong willed, bull headed, always think know we are right. i got my red hair from my daddy, the freckles too. im named after him and i have his easy going spirit. i also share his love of C.O.P.S. (the tv show), tinkering, motorcycles and eating. me and my dad can sit and talk for hours about everything, or nothing in particular. we can also sit in complete silence and just enjoy each others company. the way my dad looks at my children, his grandboys, makes me melt. Rowen is his little buddy, and Kai is his little redhead. almost everytime i talk to my dad he says "hows my buddy(rowen)? Kai still have his red hair?''.  his real laugh is a treasure. its seldom heard, but when it is it can make me smile for days.

as of late it seems my dad has had a little competition.

meet Matt, my husband. he can make our sons laugh with just a look. hes super strong, carrying me and my big ol belly to bed when my ankles were swollen and i was at my biggest. he can sing like a super star and knows how to get Rowen amped up for a big day of hockey. he even taught the little guy how to trip the bigger ones that were bullying him on the ice. Rowen wants to be just like him, he does everything daddy does. hes learned to play his video game, sits like him, talks him, cheers for the canes, loves daddys songs. Rowen is a mini Matt. Kai adores him too, cooing and ga-ga-ing over every little face Matt makes. Kai doesnt seem like he is going to be quite as wound up as them two but i can see by the way he looks at Matt he absolutely adores him. i came home late the other night to all three of them in their underwear, arms stretched out above their heads, sound asleep in our bed. God has truely blessed me with two beautiful boys and a wonderful husband they call Daddy.

on another note i would like to congratulate my twin brother and his wife on their wonderful news and wish Michael a Happy First Fathers Day!

having all these  amazing men in my life makes me one lucky gal!
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!
